Alexa was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. She moved several times in her youth, being a "military brat," with the main constant being her love of the arts and passion for acting on stage and in film. The theater or set is home, no matter where the location. She has had lead roles in over a dozen independent films and recently played Young Laura, in Hallmark Channel's movie "The Shunning," directed by Michael Landon Jr. Additionally, she spends time in the recording studio, providing voice work for audio plays produced by Shadowdog Productions. Her favorite theater roles to date include playing Helena in "A Midsummer's Night Dream" and Mimi in "Summertime". In 2010, Alexa attended the Stella Adler Summer Teen Conservatory, immersing herself in the Adler Technique and studying Shakespeare with renowned NYU professor, Don Williams. This past summer, she attended North Carolina Governor's School West for Theater. Alexa is enrolled at University of North Carolina School of the Arts in her senior year, under the direction of Dean Kelly Maxner. Alexa was a National Semi-Finalist at The English Speaking Union's National Shakespeare Competition held at Lincoln Center in New York City, in May 2011. She has participated in the National Japanese Speech Contest in Raleigh and was award ed the award for best overall presentation in 2010, and returned to get 1st place for level 2 in 2011.
